Synopsis

In a Japanese household, Aoi's days follow the rhythm of violin practice and her mother's expectations. At home, at school and on the bus, that rhythm follows her. As the distance between mother and daughter grows, a memory reveals the dream behind the pressure. RUBATO is an intimate drama about inherited ambition, love and the difficulty of hearing what a child cannot say.
