Synopsis
Short Pitch
“ANCEL” follows a 14-year-old medieval squire whose ordinary life unfolds like a fragile opening move on a vast chessboard. In a bustling 14th-century village between modest chores, quiet hopes, and the rising tension of war Ancel becomes a living pawn pushed forward by forces greater than himself.
As the world around him shifts from routine to chaos, the film explores how innocence can be sacrificed, transformed, or elevated, just like a single piece crossing the board.
About
I am a French filmmaker and AI-driven director, shaping stories where technology meets emotion. I graduated in 2018 from Gobelins – L’École de l’Image, with a professional degree in animation, a training that forged my visual sensitivity, my storytelling instincts, and my passion for crafted imagery.
For the past seven years, I’ve worked as a First Assistant Director and Head of Production at Indigènes Production, navigating sets, crews, and complex productions. This experience grounded me in the realities of filmmaking while sharpening my understanding of rhythm, performance, and visual intention.
In 2025, I directed “Evolution”, a 6-minute AI short film that traveled internationally and received multiple awards:
🏆 Grand Prize – Jeju AI Global Film Festival (1,210 films, 95 countries – South Korea)
🏆 Silver Cloud Award – Best Sci-Fi/Horror Short – OMNI 0.5 Film Festival (Sydney, Australia)
🏆 Best Story & Best Short Director – AI International Film Festival (Los Angeles, USA)
🎖 Finalist – Seoul International AI Film Festival 2025
🎖 Finalist – Atlanta Immersion AI Film and Media Festival 2025
🎖 Finalist – Neu Wave AI Film Festival 2025 (Los Angeles, USA)
🎬 Official Selection – AIFILM3MIX 2025 (Arizona, USA)
🎬 Official Selection – AI for the Future Festival 2025 (USA)
I also directed “Lotus Train”, an AI short film created in one week, selected at the Dutch AI Video Awards 2025.
Today, I explore new forms of cinematic language through AI tools such as MidJourney, Luma Dream Machine, Firefly , Kling and Suno. My work blends realism, poetry, and experimentation seeking to craft intimate, immersive films where human emotion remains at the center, even in a world shaped by machines.
